- PAY ATTENTION TO CHANGES IN BEHAVIOUR
Pay attention to the changes in children’s behaviour (e.g. exhibiting more anger or irritation than before, self-isolation)
- ACTIVELY LISTEN TO THEIR NEEDS
Listen to them when they share something with you that bothers them, such as – inability to sleep or not being able to make friends.
- CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL
You could consult a paediatrician, general practitioner, or school counsellor to advise you, or reach out to a therapist
- DO NOT IGNORE THESE SYMPTOMS. CHILDREN CAN ALSO NEED THERAPY
Do not ignore these symptoms; help them through it. Refer to a mental health professional if needed
- ESTABLISH A GOOD SUPPORT SYSTEM
Teach your child how to not be afraid of such situations and establish a good support system for them.
